The air/oil separator is key part to relate to the compressed air quality.
High quality separator has long lifespan.
The compressed air from compressor air end carries oil drops. Big ones
are separated as soon as they pass through oil tank, but the small ones
with less than 1¦Ģm diameter is suspended oil particles, which have
to be separated by air/oil separator. Normally the air and oil mixture
passes the separator and the coalescing effect is carried out through
a multi stage separation process resulting in recovery of the oil and
producing clean air.
Particles in compressed air intercepted by the media and detained on the
media result the increase of pressure drop. The separator needs to be
replaced when the pressure drop is reached at 0.08-0.1Mpa, otherwise
the compressor will work at higher power cost.
